A Small Dog, a Big Story
10:31 AM
We walk onto the grounds of Greyfriars Kirk — a peaceful place right in the heart of bustling Edinburgh. The old graves, leaning and weathered, tell stories from centuries ago. And then: Bobby’s grave.
Greyfriars Bobby, the little dog who loyally stayed with his deceased owner for fourteen years, sitting by his grave every single day. A small dog, a big story — and still close to many hearts here.
There’s always a queue in front of Bobby’s statue. Everyone wants to touch him, especially to rub his little nose — a tradition once believed to bring good luck. These days, that rubbing is officially frowned upon (the nose is almost worn bare), but still… Gos couldn’t quite resist. Not on the statue — but on Aimée instead: a gentle nose rub, for luck of course 🥰🐾.

We wander through enormous halls, each with its own atmosphere. In the central hall, the impressive Victorian atrium immediately stands out — bright, white, and filled with staircases, balconies, and display cases.
